It was a moment of joy and gratitude in Ado Ekiti as the YEMI OSHE FOUNDATION surprised a local fruit seller, Mrs. Afolayan Funmilayo, with a cash support of ₦50,000 to boost her small-scale business.
The gesture forms part of the foundation’s ongoing humanitarian activities under its monthly empowerment programme, designed to support hardworking individuals and small traders within the community.
Mrs. Afolayan, popularly known as Iya Feyi, who sells fruits at Adebayo Junction, was visibly overwhelmed by the unexpected support. She expressed deep appreciation to God and extended heartfelt gratitude to the foundation’s founder, Mr. Opeyemi Bamidele Omotoyinbo, for remembering people at the grassroots.
According to her, the financial assistance will go a long way in improving her fruit-selling business and helping her meet her daily needs.
I am very happy and grateful. I did not expect this kind of surprise. I thank God and the YEMI OSHE FOUNDATION for putting smiles on the faces of people, she said emotionally.
YEMI OSHE FOUNDATION reiterated that the initiative is part of its broader commitment to touching lives, supporting small businesses, and bringing relief to vulnerable members of society in Ekiti and beyond.
The foundation has continued to carry out several empowerment and humanitarian programmes aimed at improving the welfare of citizens and promoting community development.
